KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS
GRAND LODGE OF THE DOMAIN OF OHIO
![]()
Welcome. On behalf of the Grand Domain of Ohio and
in the name of Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence, I invite you to browse
our website at your leisure.
Justice H. Rathbone founded the Knights of Pythias in Washington D. C. on
February 19, 1864. The Pythian Order is the first fraternal order to receive a
charter from the United States Government under a special act of Congress.
Abraham Lincoln once said: "The purpose of the Pythian Order is most wonderful. If we could bring its spirit to all of our citizenry what a wonderful thing it would be. It breathes the spirit of Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence. It is one of the best agencies conceived for the upholding of the government and the honoring of our Flag."
At this particular time in our history, our beloved country needs us to set aside any personal differences we may have, and work together for community, state, and nation. We Pythians have never stopped working in the community since we were founded. We would love to have you join us in this endeavor.
If you have any interest in learning more about the Knights of Pythias in Ohio, feel free to contact us for a membership packet. The packet is free and there is no obligation. We have 56 Lodges across the state. One just might be near you.
