To become a Knight of Pythias, a man must state that he does not advocate nor is he a member of any organization that advocates the overthrow of a government or a Country in which this Order has a legal existence, by force or violence or unlawful means; and that he is 18 years of age or older, of good moral character, and that he believes in the existence of a Supreme Being. Each applicant for membership is examined and investigated by a committee of the lodge in which he seeks membership.
