Royal Arch Masonry is the first of three appendant organizations that make up the York Rite of Freemasonry. Local Chapters in Ohio are governed by the Grand Chapter of Ohio, headquartered in Barberton, and the state-level presiding officer holds the title of "Grand High Priest.". The state is divided into 20 Districts, each of which, has a District Deputy who represents the Grand High Priest. The District Deputies are responsible for inspecting each Chapter in their district annually to ensure that the Chapters maintain ritualistic proficiency and sound management. A District Education Officer is also appointed to oversee and monitor the Chapter education programs. The 6th District covers the 8 Chapters that are located in Clark, Champaign, Logan, Madison, and Union Counties.

6th District Officers Association

The 6th District Officers Association assists the District Deputy in some of the administrative activities associated with the annual inspections of the Chapters and generally coordinates and supports the various activities of the District. These activities include an annual district reception for the Grand High Priest and an annual Religious Reaffirmation Observance at the Ohio Masonic Home. The District Officers Association is also the driving force in fundraising activities for the District. If the Grand Line officer progression goes as anticipated, our own Garis E. Pugh will be elected and installed as Grand High Priest in October 2007. The District Officers Association will be critical for supporting the various activities associated with having the Grand High Priest from our District and hosting a Grand Chapter session in the area.
